Here, our guests relax in a country home that has kept its character and its history, still in the walls, make for a truly authentic countryside experience.

The main lodge, ‘Fiskerhuset’ is the original homestead, and was built in the late 1890’s . Here, our guests relax in a country home that has kept its character and its history, still in the walls, make for a truly authentic countryside experience.

The lodge is over 3 floors. The 1st floor contains the living areas,  with a traditional long viking table in the dining area providing a perfect place for fisherman and hunters alike, to exchanges stories over the days events. The lounge area revolves around an open fireplace where many a tall fishing story have been told, and a piano in the ‘old’ living room is joined by black and white pictures on the walls displaying the farms long history.

The owners have kept the lodge in its original style, and in the name of not ruining this originality, they have kept true to the original layout of the farm. The lavatories and showers, as well as a sauna, are situated in individual cabins detached from the main lodge and keeping this experience as authentic as possible.

The second floor holds 8 quaint rooms, meaning most guests can enjoy the privacy of their own room while staying with us. Each room has its own unique view over the estate, and with a window open, one can hear the river passing by in the valley below.

In the basement is the business end of the lodge, with our tackle and changing rooms, meaning guests can get in and out of their wet clothing or waders and place them in the drying rooms, and enter the house through a central staircase so as not to have to go outside.

A beautiful country lodge which will provide you with a memorable stay.
